2010 Fifa World Cup Teams

For a nation that largely still doesn't know the World Cup exists the USA have made great strides in recent years, producing a good supply of quality players, some of who play at the highest level in Europe, and making it to every World Cup finals since Italia 90. They currently stand at number 14 in the FIFA World Rankings which is no mean achievement.

They had a good qualifying period by topping their group for the second time in their history although defensively they let in too many goals and will have to work on that if they're to progress in the tournament.

Group C won't be easy for the USA team but with their experienced World Cup players and emerging youngsters they'll be tough opposition and will try hard to make this their best World Cup tournament yet, despite not having the mass of support that all the other nations can so readily call upon.
