2010 Fifa World Cup Teams
Paraguay
Paraguay's World Cup history began well reaching three of the first six finals but was none existant in the
Sixties and Seventies. They finally returned to the finals in 1986 and now South Africa 2010 sees them reaching their fourth
consecutive World Cup.
They have their supporters who believe they can do well in South Africa but qualification shows they don't travel well with
three draws and three defeats out of 9 games played away from home they're never talked about on
the same level as Brazil and Argentina.
Paraguay have never got past the second round and their last tournament was over after the first 2 games with defeat in both. Coach Martino does have
some talented players to call on but Paraguay's hopes rest on beating their previous second-round attempts.
