2010 Fifa World Cup Teams
Korea Republic
Korea Republic proved to be the revelation of the 2002 finals and showed that with home advantage and a lot of heart then
amazing things can happen at the World Cup competition.
Now they look to Korean coach Huh Jung-Moo for South Africa 2010, a man whose
winning goal in the final qualifier for the 1986 World Cup brought the Korea Republic back into the World Cup finals for the first time in
32 years. They've featured in the tournament ever since.
It was always going to be difficult to maintain the heady heights they reached in 2002, finishing a staggering 4th place, and so it probably
wasn't a surprise when they failed to get beyond the group stage in 2006.
They dominated qualification for this tournament without a single defeat in their group but they face some tougher competition in their first 3 matches in South Africa.
Korea Republic have a reasonable chance of qualifying out of Group B but it's doubtful whether they can go as far as they
did in the 2002 finals.
