2010 Fifa World Cup Teams
Italy
Italy have had a long and sometimes painful association with the World Cup. They've had some legendary players
throughout the years and some who will forever be associated with the finals like Paolo Rossi, Dino Zoff, and the
enigmatic Salvatore 'Toto' Schillaci.
Qualification for the tournament was done comfortably with 7 wins and 3 draws and they topped the group clear of 2nd place Republic of Ireland by an impressive 6 points.
The Azzurri this time contains 5 of the winning team from the 2006 World Cup and that experience is invaluable. With four World titles behind them the Italians will be hungry to level Brazil as legends of the World Cup and take a fifth title. The new players in
the squad will hope to take their place among the Italian greats in 2010.
