As a relatively new country this is the Czech Republics's first time at the finals. Their route out of the qualifiers wasn't an easy one and took a play-off against Norway to reach the target they'd narrowly missed out on in 2002.
They play what some describe as flowing, attractive football with attack in mind, which was proven in them finishing top scorers out of the European qualifiers. The Czech's will be hoping Pavel Nedved will come out of retirement again as he did for the Norway play-off.
The Czech Republic have a nice blend of talent in their young and more experienced players with the likes of Milan Baros and Petr Cech lining up with Jan Koller and Karel Poborsky. They'll hope to repeat their semi-finals placing in the 2004 European finals and will be unlucky if they don't get past the groups stage. [Latest Czech Republic Squad News]
