This will be Costa Rica's third journey to the World Cup finals and if they live up to their previous two attempts then expect to see some open play and plenty of the renowned South American skill.
Their qualification was hampered by poor results against Mexico, USA, and Trinidad & Tobago early on in the final group stage but somehow they battled through, securing some important wins in the second legs.
A lot of their players won't be known outside of South America but most in the UK will have heard of Costa Rica's biggest star, Paulo Wanchope, who is retiring from International football after the World Cup and hopes to inspire Costa Rica to their best performance ever.
