2006 Fifa World Cup Stadiums - Hanover

Hanover World Cup Stadium

With usual German efficiency the reconstruction of the Niedersachsenstadion, home to Hannover 96, was completed ahead of schedule in December 2004.

With total costs of € 64 million special attention should be given to the roof sections directly over the pitch. These have been constructed from an ultra-violet permeable foil, meaning the pitch receives the light it needs to stay in optimum condition. It also boast a state-of-the-art roof-mounted lighting system, two 41 square metre LED video walls, and a 26,400 watt PA system.
